What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through employee meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsible for engine assembly.
- Establish standards and expectation for work effort and performance for subordinates. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards. Communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving production goals.
- Coach employees to improve performance when needed.
- Perform administrative functions as related to bargaining unit employees including maintaining training, quality, and attendance records.
- Manage cell overtime and equitably distribute among employees.
- Ensure department equipment is clean, properly maintained, records and labels properly affixed, and uptime optimized while meeting all safety requirements.
- Ensure that all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety.
- Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all Environmental Health & Safety requirements promptly.
- Ensure full involvement in CORE continuous improvement initiatives is consistently upheld.
- Utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair.
- Ensure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures.
- Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience OR Masters’ degree in related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated leadership attributes and ability to influence business objectives.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement principles (CORE, QCPC, etc.).
- Experience with Environmental Health & Safety principles.
- Strong command of MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
