REQUIREMENT
The Commercial Space Program Manager is responsible for enabling our customers success by providing expertise to meet all applicable federal regulatory requirements, managing risk through process optimization and effective communication with customers both internal & external, while ensuring Arctos maintains a reputation for delivering high quality deliverables. The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive leader focused on driving customer success, eager to take on new projects, and committed to building strong external relationships while enhancing product offerings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead interface to customers for technical and non-technical interchanges, ensuring high-quality deliverables are provided in a timely manner
- Drive schedule: ensure customers understand giver/receiver relationships, and ensure technical work is completed per plan with internal team members
- Develop Part 450 compliance documentation and Safety Element Approval coordination/approval with FAA AST
- Coordinate with ASRA leadership & team members to ensure Arctos provides state of the art service by aligning with industry needs
- Participate in industry trade organizations such CSF, COMSTAC, and others
- Act as Part 450 regulatory SME, creating supplementary training material to align with existing ASRA training content and continuous improvement of existing training content
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Detailed understanding of FAA Part 450 Commercial Spaceflight Regulations, in theory and in practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated familiarity with effective project management techniques and tools.
- Practical understanding of business factors (e.g. budgeting, forward planning, cost estimation, etc.)
- Effective relationships with players in the commercial spaceflight industry.
EDUCATIONAL, CLEARANCE AND CERTIFICATION
- US Citizenship required
- BS in Commercial Space Studies or related field
- Experience working for space vehicle manufacturers
PHYSICAL/WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Primary work environment is a standard office setting.
TRAVEL
- Minimal travel is anticipated and will be performed will be under the guidelines of Federal Travel Regulations and/or Joint Travel Regulations.
