Job Summary
Cirrus Aircraft is seeking a highly organized, goal-oriented, strategic Contracts Manager to join our growing organization. The Contracts Manager has a direct reporting line to the Vice President, Supply Chain and will work closely with the Enterprise Legal Team to provide general contracting and project leadership to the Supply Chain organization, with a primary focus on managing the strategy for the supplier contracting process. This includes contract planning, development, negotiations, and administration. This is a process manager role and does not currently have direct reports. Executive level communication and presentation skills are required as periodic updates to the Cirrus Executive Leadership Team on progress towards key contracting goals, negotiations, and objectives are required.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Ensures that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Analyzes all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Working with the Corporate Legal Team, develops a set of standard contracts for the company.
- Evaluates the current contract database and determines whether it will meet the companys future requirements.
- Prepares requests for proposals for distribution to suppliers.
- Provides responses to bids, proposals and contract negotiations.
- Audits existing contracts and oversees contract modifications.
- Analyzes a contracts risk to the business.
- Visits supplier sites and meets with key business partners.
- Monitors the performance of each signed contract.
- Ensures that business goals are accomplished by contract implementation.
- Coordinates with the finance department to ensure collection of contractual discounts (pay terms, rebates, etc).
- Ensures that contracts are in line with corporate goals and objectives.
- Leads complex contract negotiations and manages all changes in and addendums to existing contracts.
- Identifies potential improvements to existing policies.
- Prepares reports on the status of contracts for management.
- Represents Cirrus in a highly professional manner internally and externally.
- Travel may be required up to 10.
- Conducts special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

- A Bachelors degree in a Business-related field (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college and 7-10 years of progressive professional experience, with at least 5 years in contracts/procurement.
- Experience as a subject matter expert in contracting and procurement.
- Experience developing and standardizing operations.
- M&A Experience is a plus.
- An advanced law degree (Juris Doctor, Master of Laws, Master of Legal Studies) and related experience is highly preferred.
Other Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of contract law and contracting business terms
- Ability to accurately read, interpret, develop and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts
- Strong negotiation and price/cost analysis experience
- Strong understanding of federal procurement regulations
- Ability to develop, assist, and lead vendor/procurement evaluations
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain thorough documentation processes and results
- Ability to translate complex issues into easily understood summaries or solutions
- Financial Acumen
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
