Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide strategic communications support to the Customer Experience (CX) and Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) leaders for both internal audiences and commercial engines and services customers. You will collaborate with the broader communications team to ensure consistency and coordination of messaging as well as adoption and continuous improvement of communications processes. Key functional responsibilities include:
Executive communications
- Partner with those leaders and their direct staff to develop and execute 360-degree communications strategy (to include leader messaging, customer messaging, and thought leadership) to help achieve business objectives
- Facilitate and activate leadership presence on critical social media channels and through targeted thought leadership opportunities
- Collaborate with the media relations team to develop and pitch earned media
Customer communications
- Identify key customer touchpoints and drive messaging strategy and execution across channels and events to differentiate GE Aerospace’s offerings and drive favorable customer sentiment
- Develop messaging packages to enable consistent communication to customers regarding field issues and initiatives.
- Develop standard work to enable effective deployment of messaging packages across the customer-facing teams
- Collaborate with the crisis team to disseminate appropriate messaging in the event of a significant accident or incident
Customer storytelling
- Develop and curate content featuring our customers for use across multiple internal and external channels.
- Coordinate requests for customer participation in key company moments.
- Pitch stories across GE Aerospace owned channels (internal and external), with potential for earned channel coverage
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in media relations or corporate communication in the aerospace industry
- Strong writing skills and experience working across multiple formats, for internal as well as earned and owned external channels. Strong social media literacy
- Ability to work independently on tactical deliverables and incorporate strategic viewpoint
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to build relationships, proactively gather feedback, and put it into practice
- Travel 10-20
Pay Disclosure
• The salary range for this position is [$107,700, $143,800, $179,700]. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
