Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.
The Work
In this vital role, you will be:
Operating under the general technical direction of the Cybersecurity Chief Engineer to implement cyber capabilities aimed at reducing vulnerabilities across development labs and operational systems.
Collaborating closely with C2BMC NT Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to enhance system hardening, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and capabilities to counter emerging cybersecurity threats.
Implementing various cyber platforms, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and data loss prevention solutions.
Please Note:
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
The role will involve approximately 10 travel to customer sites throughout the U.S.

Basic Qualifications:
- Active DoD Security Clearance
- DoDI 8570 certification IASAE - Level II (e.g., CISSP or equivalent)
- Strong Cybersecurity analysis background to include knowledge of the following: Identity and Access Management methodologies, vulnerability management, compliance management, database and enterprise information security infrastructure
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in the implementation of Cybersecurity principles and requirements relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
- Experience in cybersecurity requirements evaluation and validation. Knowledge of Cybersecurity systems engineering principles.
- Experience in Continuous Monitoring and Authorization activities.
- Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol [TCP/IP], Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol [DHCP]) and directory services (e.g., Domain Name System [DNS]).
- Knowledge of Cyber technologies (e.g., HBSS, ArcSight, ACAS, etc.) and how they impact a mission system.
- Experience in Cyber threat assessment and risk management of a mission system.
- A strong working knowledge of IA concepts such as patch management, two-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management and defense-in-depth.
- Must have experience in IA requirement generation, IA architecture design, IA audit tools and IA compliance for mission systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships, technical document preparation and verbal communication skills are required for presentation of technical IA issues and reports to senior government and military officials.
- Hardening Windows and Linux servers and workstations in accordance with GPOs, IAVMs and STIGs.
- Experience and familiarity with creating/updating A&A packages.
- Network design and software engineering backgrounds are a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $114,100 - $218,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
