In order to support Air Power DOA Management and Expertise, Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is looking for a
DOA Manager for Combat programmes GE (d/f/m)
Mission of DOA Manager for Combat programmes GE
is to ensure all necessary activities to obtain, manage and maintain the Military Design Organisation Approvals (MDOA) of Airbus Defence and Space GmbH for the programmes in scope, acting as interface with the Airworthiness Authorities for these purposes.
Within the DOA Management and Expertise domain and under delegation from the head of DOA Management and Expertise, DOA Manager for Combat programmes GE will exercise functional leadership by integrating and coordinating all the Airbus DS activities for the purpose of ensuring MDOAs from design and type certification to continued airworthiness.
The programmes in scope of this role are: Eurofighter, Tornado and FCAS, within the Airbus Defence and Space GmbH military DOA perimeter. In addition, other legacy programmes under the Airbus DS GmbH military DOA with LufABw, can be also considered.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Within the relevant MDOAs and programmes under scope:
Coordinate the management of the MDOAs under Airbus DS GmbH.
Coordinate with other stakeholders the preparation, development and deployment of the Airbus DS Strategy related with the MDOAs under Airbus DS GmbH responsibility.Coordinate with the other Airworthiness and Product Integrity domains the preparation and maintenance of process and procedures related to the design assurance system under Airworthiness and Product Integrity CoC
Coordinate the management of the DOA significant changes, from the application until their acceptance by the Airworthiness Authorities, including their implementation and deployment within the design assurance system;
Lead interface of Airbus Defence and Space GmbH DOA with LufABw for DOA management subjects;
Particularly for Eurofighter programme, lead the interface of Airbus Defence and Space GmbH DOA with Eurofighter Authorities bodies, Eurofighter GmbH, other EPCs, for DOA management subjects
Coordinate and ensure that the Design Organisation Manuals (DOM) are maintained and up to date.
Coordinate the process for demonstrating DOA compliance of the DOM to the Airworthiness Authorities.
Ensure that the DOA procedures are accurate and available for the design organization.
Support bidding process for those aspects DOA related;
Act as MDOA focal point to support DO/PO/MO coordination processes.
Provide DOA expertise support to the overall design organisation
Coordinate training plan on MDOA for the design organisation.
Ensure with the support of Authority Management that the required Design Organizations Authority and Signatories are put in place for the programs under its scope
Desired skills and qualifications
Master degree in Engineering or equivalent
German and English at negotiation level
8-10 years of Experience in Engineering
Overall Airworthiness (Initial Certification, Continued Airworthiness, Design Organizations Approvals, Continuing Airworthiness) experience desirable
Experience in managing with Airworthiness Authorities desirable
Strong negotiation skills
