Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRO Licensing and Repair Growth Leader to join our team. This critical role will ensure we build and maintain the right MRO licensing partnerships to support our customers’ MRO needs globally. Additionally, this role will execute our MRO growth strategy by assessing repair network capability and capacity.The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in Defense MRO, FLIGHTDECK, and successful collaboration across functions.

Job Description

Key responsibilities

Defense MRO licensing:

  • Lead process definition and execution for renewing and creating new  MRO business licenses
  • Manage standard work products and lead daily management cadence to track KPIs
  • Collaborate  across functions (Services, CSMs, CPLs, Legal, Finance) to manage the Defense licensing database and keep it up to date
  • Lead DT engagement to build a compliant digital solution to host the database and execute the process
  • Leverage best practices from Commercial MRO licensing team to drive process efficiency

Defense Repair growth:

  • Assess the current repair market for capability and identify areas for growth. Partner closely with customer teams to understand global capability and volume.
  • Lead repair cataloging efforts for Defense – Publish annual catalogs, listing capability and pricing with the right internal approvals.
  • Drive repair decisions based on internal capability, vendor performance and customer needs.
  • Manage vendor network for repair capability – Partner with sourcing and repair execution teams to identify vendors to fulfill global repair needs.
  • Utilize FLIGHT DECK principles to identify repair execution improvement opportunities to enable customer readiness.

Key skills:

Process Improvement:

  • Leverage FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to define process and drive process improvements
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Support lean workshops to refresh standard work and manage KPIs
  • Lead managing of Level 4 KPIs and respective actions plans

Data Analysis & Inference

  • Lead data gathering and analysis efforts to identify growth opportunities
  • Drive data-based decision making
  • Drive adoption of digital solutions

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including services, product line, DT, contracts, legal and finance to drive business outcomes
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned
  • Provide clear and actionable insights to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field and 5 years’ experience working in a global matrix organization. 
  • 3 years proven experience in MRO (preferably Defense MRO).
  • preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • This is an on-site position and this role must work from the GE office in Evendale, OH or Lynn, MA
  • Willing to travel as needed (10-15)

Desired Characteristics:

  • 5+ years of experience in MRO strategy and execution
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating across functions
  • Proficiency in data analysis
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and facilitating across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative, team orientation – demonstrates humility and curiosity, partnering with colleagues and stakeholders to drive outcomes
