Edison Works is the military business unit of GE Aerospace responsible for research and development of the next generation military aerospace products. As the Edison Works Digital Technology Site Leader (DTSL) for the Newark, DE location, you will manage all information technology (IT) hardware and software solutions across their life cycle stages in support of the site’s manufacturing shop floor operations. As an active partner, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategy and process transformation that will enable leading edge manufacturing execution capabilities at the site. You will work with larger product teams across the GE Aerospace enterprise to drive accountability for objectives that support the business’ overall vision as an industry leader in aerospace and defense.
As the site Digital Technology Leader, you will:
- Partner with the business team to creatively identify / evaluate / implement / improve business technology and processes to arrive at mutual, cost-effective solutions utilizing Lean and Agile principles
- Participate in the preparation of long-range plans and assure that they are in concert with business objectives and goals
- Utilize fundamental project management skills: ability to estimate scope, and work to deadlines
- Drive the evolution of technology products and align them to the enterprise product strategies
- Engage in the evaluation / implementation of third-party software solutions including ERP and MES
- Enable digital factory concepts at the site including machine connectivity, sensor enablement, data visualization, HMI/SCADA, etc.
- Execute as technical support for all site IT hardware including shop floor devices, network, server, audio/video, printer, paging, security and voice infrastructure 24x7
- Coordinate and communicate all Change Management and Risk Management activities
- Maintain documentation on all IT systems, installations, and configurations
- Ensure conformance of established IT architecture, standards, and practices
- Manage any outsourced vendor efforts and resources
- Own the resolution of IT issues in a timely manner
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree from accredited university or college with a minimum of 4 years professional experience OR Associate degree with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School diploma with a minimum of 9 years of professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Information/Digital Technology and Technical Product Management including experience with Digital Operations.
- NOTE: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

- Due to the nature of the work being performed this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.
