TITLE: Director of Crew Scheduling

REPORTS TO: SVP & Director of Operations

Our Fleet currently has nineteen (19) stunning AIRBUS A320/1 aircraft and is expected to have twenty-five planes by December of 2025. Objective
 
 
Global Crossing Airlines is looking to hire an experienced Director, Crew Scheduling to manage our Crew Scheduling Department.
 
Responsibilities.

  • Manage scheduling budget, optimization of schedules and bid lines, analysis of flight crews&39; productivity.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to prioritize duties under pressure.
  • Ensures all Crew Scheduling personnel are performing respective duties while on shift, and ensures the integrity of the daily, and future, flight schedules.
  • Analyze future flying and new business opportunities while collaborating with leadership from other departments.
  • Utilize travel-booking software, analyzing areas we can improve costs.
  • Periodically review staffing models and communicate with Crew Training and other departments to ensure we are properly aligned for current and future business.
  • Ensure all crewmember assignments are in accordance with FAA mandated regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain the integrity of the flight schedule by ensuring all segments have been assigned to a legal crew.
  • Resolve flight crew legality problems and rest requirements based on appropriate regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain changes to flight crew schedules initiated by dispatch.
  • Ensure crewmember hotels are reserved and deadhead passes are provided when required.
  • Ensure compliance with FARs, contract requirements, and departmental guidelines.
  • Assist fellow schedulers and advanced planning specialists when needed.
  • Work closely with dispatchers to resolve problems and coordinate the efficient daily operation of the airline.
  • Report on daily scheduling and department status.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications 
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
  • 5 years of experience in customer service
  • 5 years of experience working in a crew scheduling environment preferred.
  • Airline industry or operational experience required.
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • PC proficient in Microsoft Office products and general internet applications
  • Experience with RAIDO preferred!
  • Experience with ad-hoc/charter and supplemental operations is a must
  • Experience managing large teams 
  • Ability to work any shift including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
  • experience with a wide range of theatre of operations e.g. North, South America, Europe ,etc.
  • Some travel may be required.
