Director of Operations - Non Flying

We are partnered with an air ambulance transport operation in Lawrenceville, GA looking for their next Director of Operations. This role is a non-flying position, operating under Part 135 regulations. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing various operational aspects, ensuring compliance with Federal Regulations and company policies. As the Director of Operations, you will have a comprehensive understanding of both domestic and international flight operations under Part 135 guidelines.

• Must hold an ATP certificate and meet 14 CFR 119 requirements.
• In-depth understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and familiarity with FAA policy and guidance documents.
• Ability to independently research aviation technical topics and compose professional correspondence to external oversight agencies (e.g., FAA, NTSB, DoD).
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor.
• No FAA violations, suspensions, or criminal history.
• Previous Part 135 management experience in roles such as Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, Director of Training, or similar management positions. Previous experience as an aircraft and/or simulator instructor and check airman. Previous experience in air ambulance. Previous experience in a crew environment.
• Knowledge and experience with CRM, risk management, aviation safety programs, and the development of standard operating procedures.
