Connected AC program
Developing the capabilities and value propositions for Connected Aircraft has been recognized by Airbus top leadership as a strategic vector to secure continuous competitive advantage for our aircraft platforms. For this purpose a new program will be established within Airbus Customer Services.
Service Ecosystem team:
The scope of the Services Ecosystem Team consists in building new strategic partnerships to deliver a compelling digital offering to our customers as part of the Connected Aircraft offering.
New digital partnerships aim at:
- Passengers: Enhance the passenger experience
- Airline: Improve the efficiency of aircraft operations / Increase ancillary revenues to customers
- Airbus: Open new revenue streams for Airbus
Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will report to the HO of Service strategy and business development in Airbus China operationally and to the HO Service Ecosystem functionally, The job holder will closely work with the other connected aircraft teams and other Airbus functions to support the delivery of integrated connectivity and digital services solutions to customers. In your role, you will focus on securing new commercial arrangements with third parties who provide content and services on the open platform.
These arrangements will enable Airbus to tap into new data-related revenue streams whilst delivering value to Lessors, Airlines and passengers. Furthermore, you will structure and deliver MVPs in collaboration with the Demonstrator Team (SXI) to prove the three aspects: desirability,
viability and feasibility are met.
Key tasks
● Work closely with the Customer Offer Team (SXV) to identify pain points our customers have today and propose solutions to tackle the problem including the associated business model.
● Identify partners, especially for the Chinese Market, that can support in solving pain points or create new value for airlines and lessors and lead demonstrators with early adopter airlines to prove the value creation.
● Define Key Business Terms to work with partners with a special attention to IP, data sharing, data usage rights and data Governance - which are fundamental for setting up a platform business.
● Set up the appropriate project governance and lead Ecosystem projects end to end, from the pain point identification to the contract signature with a partner. This will require a close collaboration with other Airbus organizations such as: Connected aircraft teams, Customer
Services, Sales and Marketing, Programs and Procurement.
● Develop suitable contractual frameworks in collaboration with the Head of Services Contract Management that will permit a structured engagement with third parties along the development process: MOU/Key Business Terms/Entire commercial agreement.
● Identify key enablers and blocking points that can be of legal, commercial or technical nature and propose options how to move forwards
Qualifications
● Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneur with experience in establishing strategies, agile methods and processes for setting up new business lines in a complex environment
● Stakeholder management: Excellent management skills and networks, with the ability to inspire and convince at levels, both Airbus internally and externally.
● Business requirements: Ability to translate &34;pain points&34; and new value propositions into business requirements that serve as an input for the connected aircraft and translate third party/ customer needs into technical requirements for the aircraft architecture team. Familiarity with A/C systems.
● Commercial arrangements: Proven track record in having delivered complex commercial arrangements reflecting technical and business dimensions leading to long-term data-related revenue streams.
● Project management: ability to structure work of multi functional teams to deliver end to end on partnership projects from &34;initial conversations&34; to the closure of a contractual agreement
● Customer facing experience: Demonstrated achievements relevant to customer facing roles
