Amazon Prime Air is revolutionizing delivery through autonomous drone technology, aiming to deliver packages to customers in 30 minutes or less. Our breakthrough technologies, including advanced BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) capabilities and sophisticated detect-and-avoid systems, have earned FAA approvals and are setting new standards in autonomous delivery.

With operations already successful in multiple locations and expansion planned, were seeking an experienced Program Manager to develop and implement strategic operational frameworks. In this role, youll work at the intersection of innovative technology, operational excellence and implementation, and strategic planning to help scale Prime Airs revolutionary delivery system.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in delivering complex technical programs with quick timelines. Youll be responsible for driving standard business mechanisms across engineering teams and managing integration between engineering and product teams to deliver on complex schedules. This role requires the ability to drive decisions in ambiguous environments, strong business acumen, and exceptional bias for action. You are an effective written and verbal communicator and can navigate competing priorities across a complex organization with high visibility to customers and stakeholders.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Key job responsibilities
• Remove barriers to success through collaborative problem-solving and innovative thinking
• Drive critical decisions in ambiguous environments while maintaining high standards and attention to detail
• Develop and execute program level mechanisms to succinctly define program status, risks, and solutions to Sr. Leadership
• Lead cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across engineering, operations, and regulatory teams
• Drive topology planning and analysis for new service areas, synthesizing technical requirements with operational constraints

Job Requirements:

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects in fast-paced environments- Track record of driving process improvements at scale
- Experience with topology planning or network design
- Experience with fulfillment center operations and last-mile delivery integration
- Master's degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and compliance requirements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic spanets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic spanet up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic spanet. Pay is based on a number of factors including spanet location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
