The Manager will also oversee the financial resources to ensure accounting functions are performed accordance with company policy and local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.Approve and sign off on financial statements, ensuring they meet internal and external audit requirements.Identify and maintain financial management controls and processes to ensure adherence to corporate by-laws and assist internal clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives. Manage accounts payable and receivable.Prepare financial and operating budgets.Prepare monthly variance analysis, plus supporting narrative.Prepare business cases and other financial documents.Manage contracts, deadlines, renewals.Coordinate banking and financial transfers.Manage cash flow, inflows and outflows.Ensure the company meets local taxation regulations including employee taxation requirements.Compile VAT/WHT returns and refunds where applicable.Ensure local bookkeeping is in line with local regulations and financial statement preparations.Verify, monitor and pay commissions to travel agencies.Support employee payroll in Mexico and execute payments including taxes.Seek cost efficienciesWith support from HDQ tax team, coordinate with local tax firm for corporate income tax filing.Lead and supervise a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of work and professional development.Other duties as assigned
QualificationsUniversity degree in a relevant field of study (finance, accounting, business, commerce).Sound knowledge of accounting standards and financial processes, and financial analysis techniques.Extensive knowledge and skills required to complete local tax filing.Demonstrated communication, analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.Full proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).High integrity, professionalism with strong work ethic.Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to innovate.
