Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth. This role includes leadership of the finance team and active collaboration with other departments to enhance overall performance and operational efficiency.
Job Description:
1. Financial Reporting & Control
Manage full sets of accounts and ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with PRC GAAP and Group accounting policies.
Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to company financial policies.
Coordinate annual audits and address auditor queries.
2. Treasury & Cashflow Management
Oversee daily cash management, banking relationships, and payment processing.
Implement treasury policies to optimize liquidity and manage FX exposure.
Liaise with local banks for all the banking related matters including banking set up
Fund repatriation to parent Company in Malaysia
3. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure accurate and timely filing of corporate tax, VAT, and other local tax in China
Monitor changes in local tax and finance regulations; advise management on implications and compliance requirements.
Support regulatory compliance to secure preferential tax incentives available in Hainan FTP.
Issue tax invoices as per local tax requirements
4. Regulatory & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary finance representative with regulators, banks, tax authorities, and auditors in Hainan.
Liaise with external advisors and government bodies to ensure compliance with financial and operational regulations.
Support business operations with finance input on contracts, regulatory filings, and funding arrangements.
5. Process Improvement
Requirements:
Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting. Audit background is required.
Professional accounting certification is required.
Proficient in English and Mandarin
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and local tax laws.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel functionalities.
Demonstrated experience in managing compliance and internal controls.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
