Responsibilities
Position Summary The Fleet Technical Manager will own the technical fleet plan of the CRJ-700/900 to ensure that PSAs reliability performance is the best in the industry. This includes owning the technical relationship with the OEM and driving data-driven improvements within PSAs operation across all facets of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and advocate for the fleets overall mechanical and operational reliability performance within Technical Operations
- Responsible for solving complex problems in Reliability Engineering, Tech Services Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Planning, Data, and Predictive Maintenance to drive improvements to the fleets mechanical performance.
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify aircraft reliability issues and coordinate solutions across all aspects of PSA including Flight, In-Flight, Supply, Maintenance etc.
- Identify, prioritize, and drive top fleet mechanical/operational reliability improvement projects to ensure a reliable product for PSAs crews and passengers.
- Coordinate and support of specific ATA focus meetings to address negative trending ATAs and promote holistic solutions for improvements.
- Manage and review Fleet Top D&C (Delay & Cancel) reliability drivers, and AOS (Aircraft Out of Service), working with key stakeholders to drive solutions.
- Support industry level fleet reliability meetings with airframe manufacturers and partner with other operators to drive industry level reliability improvements.
- Own the OEM Technical Relationship to ensure successful operation of the CRJ-700/900 for the foreseeable future.
- Lead the regularly occurring Fleet Reliability Meeting to ensure compliance to PSAs approved reliability program.
- Visit field operations to learn local challenges and share insights on key drivers behind fleet reliability.
- Responsible for the Companys Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
Qualifications Required
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Technical Operations or Aircraft Maintenance of a 121 Airline Operator
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to executive leadership.
- Proven experience in managing projects and implementing change initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills to tackle and resolve intricate issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage team dynamics and stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
