Off Shift-6:00 pm to 6:00 am (Rotating Shift)

Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the safe manufacture of castings while meeting all manufacturing requirements.
  • Supervise multiple functions and/or shifts to meet production requirements.
  • Responsible for satisfying all quality and productivity requirements in most cost effective manner.
  • Ensuring all safety requirements are followed and maintaining a strong 6s program.
Requirements:
  • Maintain positive communication and work atmosphere with employees, co-workers, maintenance, and management team.
  • Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record.
  • Have strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently.
  • Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity.
  • Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.

Work Experience:

  • Prefer one to three years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.

Specific Duties:

  • Train employees new to the Foundry, utilizing the ISO based training program, standard operating procedures and engineering procedures to instruct the new employee in production procedures, to monitor the progress of the employee in quality, quantity of production, and to ensure that proper safety measures are followed.
  • Meet daily metric targets including safety, TOC, variable cost, EH&S, Uptime, and LU.
  • Schedule employees to effectively meet production needs and ensure vacation and other time off consistent with plant policies.
  • Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standards and maintain thorough knowledge of all production processes and materials.
  • Ensure that the department’s high standard of safety and housekeeping is met and maintained.
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate, and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality.
  • Monitor the Operations safety program and insure that all employees comply with safety regulations.
  • Work with employees to resolve technical and personnel problems.
  • Trouble shoots and provides cost effective resolutions to production problems.
  • Organizes work for smooth operations. Ensure that required documentation is maintained.
  • Perform other duties as determined by the Area Manager.
  • Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
