Job Summary
The ACAA’s Full-Stack Web Development Manager oversees our WordPress websites. In this position, you will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development tasks, ensuring that our websites are optimized for performance, functionality, and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Web development best practices, along with proficiency in front-end technologies and server-side languages.
Here is how the Full-Stack Web Development Manager will help:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
- Design and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with designers to translate designs into responsive and visually appealing WordPress templates.
- Optimize websites for speed and performance, including minimizing load times and optimizing images and scripts.
- Implement both Technical SEO and on-page content SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
- Manage website backups, updates, and security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and ensure website stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs that arise, including compatibility issues with plugins or third-party integrations.
- Stay updated on the latest WordPress developments, best practices, and technologies to continuously improve our websites.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise and recommendations.
- Provide training and support to content creators and website administrators as needed.
- Performing routine site audits and ongoing maintenance as needed.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.

Qualifications
The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
Requirements to apply for the role of Full-Stack Web Development Manager are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- 5 years related experience as a Full-Stack WordPress Developer, with a portfolio showcasing WordPress projects.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React.js or Vue.js.
- Experience with website optimization techniques and performance testing tools.
- Experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Certification in WordPress development or related technologies.
- Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license. Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.
We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:
- Considerable Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development principles.
- Comprehensive WordPress development skills, including theme and plugin development, custom post types, and taxonomies.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
- Knowledge of both Technical SEO and on-page content SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with web hosting environments and server configurations.
- Understanding of web application security, session management, and best development practices.
- Considerable knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
- Ability to solve complex problems independently and to seek out and generate innovative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams on overlapping projects.
- Ability to create custom tracking events in Google Tag Manager to analyze usability and user behavior, optimizing for a better user experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.
