The MRO General Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Maintenance operation including the successful implementation of maintenance work order projects and managing department resources to meet safety, legal, and profit objectives.

ROLE, ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As an essential maintenance provider for Tier 1 airlines, the General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality, engagement, and overall work being done by our team on-site. The General Manager will function as the primary face of the operation related to our service offerings and must be an exceptional relationship builder with the drive to provide world-class customer service. The General Manager is the external representative of our company to our target market in the commercial Avionics, Structures and Interiors space. Furthermore, they will ensure that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with current maintenance manuals, manufacturers’ data, and/or other FAA-approved data.
- Overall responsibility for the facility, ensuring that it conforms to Corporate SMS (Safety Management Systems) requirements.
- Managerial responsibility and authority for on-site departments including Operations, Quality, Planning, Materials, Facilities, Accounting, and PMO/Contracts; coordinates activities with all on-site department heads including but not limited to the Director of Maintenance, Director of Quality, Chief Inspector, and Supervisors.
- Ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is approved for return to service and that the proper inspection and maintenance records, reports, and forms required for each release are properly executed.
- Maintains full P&L responsibility for the IAB operation; responsible for generating an annual budget that is aligned with company objectives.
- Liaise alongside Director of Quality with the Federal Aviation Administration Certificate Management Office on issues pertaining to the 145 Repair Station.
- Accountable for ensuring that the 3 key customer satisfaction objectives are met: “High Quality”, “On-Time”, and “On-Budget”.
- Work effectively with other corporate organizations, including, Accounting, Compliance, Human Resources, and Warranty Departments.
- Provides overall authority for aircraft technical standards and acceptable deviations from Company maintenance policies and procedures that are not detrimental to airworthiness.
- Establishes efficient and economical policies and procedures for the accomplishment of all maintenance.
- Ensures that adequate staffing, facilities, tooling, and equipment are available for maintenance. This includes developing and interacting with all service provider vendors required to operate the facility; negotiate terms of sales and services with customers.
- Responsible for the maintenance of aircraft, engines, and components in the manner prescribed by the manufacturers’ maintenance and overhaul manuals, service bulletins, ADs, Engineering Orders, and applicable CFRs; Monitors maintenance performance against Company policies, procedures, and standards, and provides recommendations to improve safety of operations and productivity of the entire operation.
- Responsible for the review and approval of employee expenses and invoicing related to the maintenance operations.
- Manage operations in the most effective manner, eliminating waste, and improving productivity.
- Provide coaching, counseling and guidance to assigned work group.
- Attend meetings as needed to discuss critical path areas, planned work, critical parts, and overall aircraft status.
- Develop strong relationship with NIAR/WERX, ACFL, KMC, Boeing, Spirit, and any other IAB customer leadership and increase size of projects at the location.
- Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the Company Safety Manual.
- Establishes and follows Best Practices when scheduling projects and completing project implementations.
- Maintain knowledge of his/her marketplace and awareness of competitors' products and pricing.
