This position requires that the individual build and nurture strong collaborative relationship with Air Canada selected vendors. This position works closely with benefits vendor to ensure efficient delivery of services, compliance with contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities: Manages the delivery of benefits - Canada;Ensures that Air Canada’s Benefits Delivery model respects Company’s objectives;Collective AgreementsCompany policy
Implements the delivery of Air Canada Group Benefit plans with all group benefit vendors.
Primary contact on the day-to-day interactions with claims providerPoint of contact for resolutions related to Union inquiries and complaints; Point of contact for Labour Relations inquiries;Reviews and approves all administrative process changes, and benefit communication.
Liaison with Pensions, Payroll, Compensation, Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and other Towers to ensure overall benefits administration processes (i.e plan design changes)Keeps abreast of the latest trends and developments in the benefits industry, and makes recommendations for improvements or changes as neededPrimary liaison for internal customers – on benefit content or changes (Onboarding, offer letters, special agreements, etc.)
QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in Group Insurance environmentStrong and effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal & written)Ability to exercise impeccable judgment, and confidentiality Demonstrated customer-service orientation and high degree of diplomacyA strong understanding of professional standards of practice with respect to group insurance (health, dental and life insurance) adjudication
