Role: Graduate Project Manager
Location(s): Harlow, typically 2/3 days on site per week
Travel: Occasional travel to UK facilities and overseas as required for the role and Early Careers events
Starting Salary: 32,000, plus 3,000 welcome payment and company benefits
Type: Permanent – 1st 2 years graduates complete the GDP structured training programme in addition to day job. As part of the GDP there are biannual pay reviews in years 1 & 2.

About the Role:
Programme Management Excellence (PMX) are looking for dynamic and high performing Graduates to join their successful team of over 100 programme delivery professionals located at various sites across the UK.
As a Gradate Project Manager you will be engaged from day one in performing a “real” job, working within our experienced project delivery teams balancing the demands of time, cost and scope. Your role will require a flexible and an adaptable approach to fast – paced challenges, interfacing with various project support disciplines and communicating with our Customers and Senior Leadership. You will be expected to solve real life problems and contribute directly to the successful achievement of business goals.

The Raytheon UK Weapons team has a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate team member to come join them to assist in delivering complex and high-profile programmes to customers based in both the UK and around the World. This role offers the opportunity to help deliver new technologies in the world of defence.
This team works with cutting edge technology and offers the opportunity to contribute to global security whilst also learning and developing your own skills and knowledge. Together the team delivers a varied range of programmes, from production, development, integration, and support. This can be to military customers directly, or through other key defence companies, providing plenty of opportunity to learn and develop a wide range of skills and experience and progress within the business. The team also cover a wide area of specialisms, from Laser Direct Energy Weapons to creating the next generation weapon using the latest digital twinning technology.
This business works in a complex engineering and legislative environment and requires someone who can work effectively with a close knit multi-functional team to help deliver results. As part of the day-to-day activities the role requires assisting in the delivery of multiple programmes. There will be opportunities to take on wider activities across the company, and a broad interest in what the wider Company does would be a highly desirable quality.
As a Graduate Project manager, you have a real chance to come into one of the most exciting and high performing business areas within Raytheon UK where you will be afforded opportunities for formal learning, learning through doing and the early prospect of being able to contribute towards a project positive direction. This will include but is not limited to supporting key programme deliveries, scoping out timelines and activities required to execute a project, putting in place plans to ensure these are met and the opportunity to support the pursuit of new projects.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in Project Management, Business Management, STEM subject preferred or any degree level qualification with a focus on Project Management & Leadership (already achieved or to be completed by 1 September 2025)

- Flexibility on location and ability to travel to our UK facilities and overseas
- Excellent STEM skills demonstrated through academic achievement
