Job Description

Over recent months, a clear opportunity has developed for an experienced Group Travel Sales Team to operate within the business, with requests for Corporate Groups, MICE, School Travel & Entertainment growing steadily. We are looking for somebody to manage & book these enquiries, standardise our offering and grow a team to be able to handle a significant increase in demand.

Working with The Travel Division

  • Working to externally source leads, as well as engaging with referred Large Group Private Aviation Clients, to build a List of Repeat Travel Customers.
  • Demonstrating an expert understanding of the most suitable Group Travel Product for each customer, and making suitable recommendations.
  • Managing group travel bookings from enquiry to completion, and collaborating with other company departments to ensure best possible experience for our customers.
  • Always taking a “Customer First” attitude, and taking full ownership of our Customers In-Destination Experience
  • Maintaining relationship with repeat clients, and pro-actively managing your customer list through outbound sales calls, emails and visits (both face-to-face and virtual)
  • Consolidating existing business, and hiring a team of people over time to grow the offering without impacting delivery of service.
  • Engaging with Suppliers & Partners to ensure you are able to provide the most suitable choices for the customers requirements.
  • Working towards exceeding daily, monthly & annual goals linked to both productivity and financial targets
  • Following company procedure in a methodical and chronological way to ensure protection of both TTD and your clients.
  • Representing the Business externally at events with suppliers, customers & wider industry peers.

Additional Information

This position is offering a starting salary of 54,000 + 10 Uncapped Commission

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Our business is all about service, and we work to the end that we will always go the extra mile.

The Successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous experience of booking & managing Groups within a Travel Team
  • Very clear written & verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Extensive knowledge of major global destinations and travel products, and an up to date understanding of latest tourism trends.
  • Someone with a high aptitude and passion for sales
  • An organised & disciplined attitude towards workload and time management
  • A willingness to commit to the demands of the role – including (where necessary) working outside of regular working hours to get the job done.
  • Ability to work independently, but also able to collaborate with people both inside and outside of The Travel Division and the wider parent company.
  • Previous experience of working on a GDS (ideally Amadeus) is desirable
  • Previous experience of leading or managing a team of people is essential.
