How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

OCC and Delta Connection IT is looking for a leader to contribute to and help drive the strategy of an IT team as we migrate from legacy stems to
modern technology platforms and AWS cloud. You will be responsible for delivering the right solutions on time, within the allocated budget while
ensuring that they adhere to technical and operating standards supporting Delta Information Technology. This includes driving new capital
initiatives, enhancing current systems and supporting and maintaining applications.
How You’ll Help Us Keep Climbing (overview and key responsibilities):
  • Collaborates with product team members (Scrum Master, Developers, Testers and Product Owners) to create secure, reliable, scalable
  • software solutions Works with vendors and partners for the successful implementation of critical software products
  • Drive research and testing for continuous improvement to the OCC/DC platform
  • Guides team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks within and across product teams
  • Engage portfolio team and product owners in agile development process including roadmap planning and iteration planning meetings
  • Ensure that appropriate development resources are in place to deliver all business functionality required for new and on-going capital and
  • operating needs
  • Acts as a proponent of modern software development practices including Agile
  • Fosters collaboration with team members to drive consistency across product teams
  • Attracts, retains, and develops top talent to build a world class Software Product Teams
  • Manage the budget associated to OCC/DC roadmap deliverables, and commitments
  • Identify areas of improvement and partner with stakeholders to drive scalable, & reliable solutions
  • Creates meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to ensure that issues are captured and addressed proactively
  • Capture and share best practices among the Delta IT community

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • 3-5 years of experience in designing, developing, integrating and supporting software applications in an enterprise
  • environment
  • Ability to manage multiple products and shifting priorities
  • Extensive experience managing teams using Agile methodology
  • Experience working with stakeholders to implement large-scale solutions
  • Knowledge of building, deploying, and scaling applications in AWS cloud platform is preferred
  • Candidate must also have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration
  • Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop and nurture relationships quickly
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience leading teams and direct reports distributed geographically
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • A BS/MS degree in a technical, scientific, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Experience working with diverse teams located across various locations
  • Functional knowledge of the airline IT processes
  • Highly adaptable, a driver of change, and capable of quickly rallying teams / peer groups
