What You Will Do:

  • Lead and participate in quality system, engineering, value stream, process, and product audits
  • Create and assist in the maintenance of audit process standard work
  • Conduct risk assessment and create annual audit schedule
  • Support 2nd and 3rd party audits
  • Maintain audit records and manage/track/follow up on associated corrective actions
  • Facilitate the development of root cause and corrective action for audit findings/non-conformances and compliance problems and reviewing and approving CARs in ETQ
  • Participate/lead process improvement initiatives as needed
  • Collect and analyze process data, transform into meaningful information shared with senior management (i.e., control towers, MCAB, etc.)
  • Interact and communicate with various groups and levels of management
  • Demonstrate high level of customer focus, business judgment, adaptability, teamwork and communication skills
  • Manage projects with an impact to the organization associated with Quality Systems and compliance
  • Train, coach, and mentor internal auditors
  • Delegate and review internal auditor
  • Communicate both inside and outside of the organization (i.e., multi-disciplines, customers, regulatory agencies, suppliers, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization in both verbal and written formats

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Previous quality auditing experience in Aviation, Space or Defense or other regulated industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent of at least 10 years of quality auditing experience in a highly-regulated industry; OR Master’s Degree with 8+ years of experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • May require occasional weekend availability as business needs arise
  • Able to travel when necessary


Qualifications We Value:

  • AS9100 Lead Auditor Certificate
  • Prior Lead Auditor experience preferred
  • Previous experience delivering presentations to all levels of management for compliance activities/metrics
  • Previous experience in the knowledge and use of CORE Principles including leading/coaching teams through use of RCCA tools
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, FAI reports and other relevant detailed instructions
  • Six Sigma or advanced Lean Certifications

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
