What are your contributions to the team?
- Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
- Be responsible for the operational processes of your sector by achieving and monitoring the production objectives.
- Manage the budgets of your group and ensure the quality of the product.
- Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on them.
- Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
- Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain communication with other departments for any issues related to your sector.
- Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.
- Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
- Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
- Exercise your leadership while respecting the vision and values of Bombardier.
- Coach your team to develop their talent in the organization.
As a Leader, Operations at Bombardier, reporting to the Operations Director, you are responsible for managing unionized employees. Your role requires acting as a coach and a communicator.
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
- You have a diploma in operations, production, or engineering management or a related field (aeronautics an asset).
- You have 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
- You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.
- You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments.
- You are motivated by a stimulating and fast changing environment.
- You are proficient in French (English an asset).
- You are flexible to work different shifts if required.
