Key responsibilities for this role include: 

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Development, the Sr. Leadership Development Program Manager is recognized as an expert in learning and development  and is responsible for applying instructional design models and approaches to develop, design, curate, evaluate and evolve leadership development curricula and programs.   

 

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with program management experience, equally able to strategize and execute well.  This role requires strong consultation skills – a professional, who can collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver innovative and scalable solutions.  This individual takes pride in utilizing best innovative practices in adult learning, leadership theory, and change management to develop impactful learning experiences. This role will require an aptitude to build organizational capability and leadership capacity.  

 

Additionally, this individual is responsible for, but not limited to: 

 

  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, subject matter experts and partners to understand and validate business needs to inform design and development of learning and development solutions for leaders at all levels within the organization 

  • Leverage instructional design principles and processes for design, development and facilitation of leadership development programs, including for high potential/cohort-based in-person programs 

  • Manage the end-to-end program life cycle including design, delivery, assessment and improvement 

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership on program improvements by utilizing evaluations tools to measure effectiveness and ROI  

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and innovations in leadership development by conducting research and leveraging internal and external networks. Identify best and next practices on industry trends to include talent development, vendor landscape, etc; proactively make recommendations to increase and/or accelerate the impact of talent development solutions 

  • Provide recommendations to incorporate modern learning approaches and technology, including learning in the flow of work, learning nudges and simulations 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • 12 years of relevant work experience or 10 years of work experience with a master’s degree in learning and development, talent development, instructional design, human resources, organization development or related field of study 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint) 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree in a related field 

  • Practical experience (including a professional certificate or degree) as an Instructional Designer (ISD) in a corporate learning and development organization including analysis, design and development leadership development curricula 

  • Skilled facilitator, with expertise in various learning environments, understanding of adult learning principles/methodologies and ability to engage learners at all leadership levels; certification a plus 

  • Experience with utilizing multiple learning development technology platforms (e.g., Articulate) 

  • Prior experience designing and/or project managing high potential programs 

  • Advanced SharePoint, Web Design and graphic design skills a plus 

  • Broad based experience as an HR Business Partner, change management, prior experience with working on larger scale OD/OE projects, and/or experience in other HR CoEs  (Centers of Excellence)

  • Prior experience working at a large, complex matrixed environment; A&D experience a plus 

  • Agile project management experience; certification as a scrum master a plus 

Salary Range: $123,900 - $185,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
