Supervisor, Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical & Tool Room

What You Will Do:

We are seeking a Maintenance Tool Supervisor (Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical & Tool Room) who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic environment to maintain critical equipment plantwide. In this role, the Maintenance Tool Supervisor, (Mechanical, Electrical & Tool Room) will provide direction to skilled mechanical, electrical & tool room staff, leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts guided by our Roadmap and Control Tower objectives.

Additionally, this position will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, facility needs and procurement. In conjunction with daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution will support group members is critical to the businesss success.

  • Plans, designs, and executes activities directly related to the physical creation of products and the functional operation of facilities.

  • Direct all critical Preventatives Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical and Tool Room services and personnel scheduling.

  • Manage e-Maintenance database to include adding new equipment to database and assigning PMs to employees and striving for a monthly goal of zero overdue PMs.

  • Manage annual shutdown planning, ordering need supplies and contracting vendors needed to do the critical work; manage all facility air compressors, powered industrial vehicles, lift platforms’ Annual hot work permits, dust collectors.

  • Lead the Emergency Team committee.

  • Manage Department PM for productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production; work with HMI leadership for work needed and priorities.

  • Develop employees to expand learning to excel through the skills matrix to have cross training.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years experience in a manufacturing operations, production or tool room environment or an Associates Degree and 4 or more years experience in a manufacturing operations, production or tool room environment

  • In absence of a degree, 6 or more years experience in a manufacturing operations, production or tool room environment

  • Leadership experience with specialized knowledge of technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience

  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Continuous improvement certificates/training such as 6 Sigma practitioner/Professional certification

  • Experience with Environmental Health & Safety principles

  • SAP user experience

  • Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
