JOB SUMMARY: Maintenance Training Manager develops and performs required training for Grant Aviation Maintenance Department personnel. This position is for a permanent day shift position at our Anchorage maintenance base. The Mx Training Manager is required to exhibit Grants values of Safety, Customer Service, and Community, while practicing professionalism when interacting with internal or external stakeholders.

Pay Range: $36 to $50 per hour DOE.
Duties and responsibilities:
Be appropriately certificated, possessing a current A&P certificate with airplane and powerplant ratings.
Be authorized to perform CASS audits and participate in CASS meetings.
Assume all duties of Mechanic job description.
Manage the Maintenance Department Training program at Grant Aviation under the direction of the DOM.
Communicate and coordinate with Grants Human Resources Director and Training Records Specialist.
Responsible for development, currency, and dissemination of the Maintenance Employee Personnel Roster.
Develop and assign online courses for Maintenance department employees as best suited for initial and recurrent training as required by Grants GMM.
Develop, schedule, and give in-person classroom instruction for Maintenance Department Employees for initial and recurrent training.
Responsible for retention of training records and tracking recurring training requirements/authorizations for all maintenance department personnel.
Research contract training companies, to provide any training that may be beneficial to Grant Aviation Maintenance employees. Coordinate any action with contract training companies with the VPM, DOM, or CI.
Travel to remote maintenance bases and conduct training or auditing as needed.
Perform validation of Airmen Certificates for company Maintenance Department employees.
Assumes other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS (acquired during initial training)
Knowledge of Grant GOM, OpSpecs, GMM, and AAIP
Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations.
Knowledge of Flight Manuals and other instructions pertinent to assigned duties.
HAZMAT recognition
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
3 years FAR Part 135 maintenance.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must have a valid drivers license and be able to acquire SIDA badge.
FAA Mechanic Certificate with A&P authorizations is required.
Preferred experience
Models: C207, GA8, C208B, PA31 and BE200.
FAA Inspection Authorization is desired.
Expert level experience with programs commonly used in aviation such as Word, Excel, Adobe, Microsoft Teams, ATP, One View, P&WC Portal, with ability to learn new programs.
