Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager - Data Science and Analytics to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Industrial Engineering and Operations Project Management (IEOM) team. This leadership role is located in Clearfield, Utah.

Position Description

The Manager - Data Science and Analytics will lead and plan the activities of a team that develops, transforms, and models data and/or data-based systems to provide insights, enable decision making and improve performance.

  • Sets vision and provides assignments for IEOM/ASBU Data Science and Analytics team within Agile framework – acts as their Product Manager
  • Builds implementation plans to successfully achieve targeted milestones for ASBU and IEOM
  • Leads cross sector/division collaboration in support of ASBU initiatives
  • Design visualization and systems for consumption of analytical results and transform raw data into actionable information
  • Identify, communicate, and quantify opportunities for leveraging analytics solutions and apply data analytics
  • Act as a liaison with decision makers by providing data-informed strategic direction, and as a liaison with subject matter experts to obtain data sets and set expectations for potential of data analytics
  • Optimize the organizations data collection, management, and utilization strategy
  • Communicate the potential impact of analyses and applicable data privacy policies, procedures, and regulation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of related experience as defined below OR a Masters degree and 3 years of related experience as defined below
  • Related experience includes relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, data, and/or other relevant experience in aerospace and defense
  • Prior experience in Project or Program Management with knowledge in cost, budgets, risks, opportunities, and schedules
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or Masters degree in a STEM discipline
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance last investigated within 6 years or enrolled in continuous evaluation
  • Active Special Access Program (SAP)

Salary Range: $119,300 - $178,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
