The Manager - Microsoft 365 Administrator with IdAM experience will be responsible for supervising a small team (4-6 team members) managing, operating, maintaining and optimizing our Microsoft 365 environment (including M365 Apps), with an additional focus on Identity and Access Management (IdAM) via Okta and MS EntraID. This role involves supervising a small team but is also a hands-on role including configuring and maintaining user accounts, permissions, licenses, M365 Apps, and ensuring secure and efficient access to enterprise network applications / resources and supporting the overall Digital Workplace productivity and collaboration goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision:
Lead a small team of skilled IT personnel, including day-to-day assignments, annual performance management, time reporting and staffing / budget planning and tracking.
Collaborate and coordinate with other IT organization teams (i.e., network, cybersecurity, enterprise applications).
Provide regular operations status and management updates on the health and performance of our digital workplace, using multiple project management tools, (i.e. Atlassian JIRA, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
Reports directly to the Director, Infrastructure Management.
Microsoft 365 Administration:
Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within the Microsoft 365 environment.
Configure and maintain mailboxes, shared mailboxes, and email security settings.
Administer SharePoint Online, including site creation, configuration, and management.
Oversee the deployment and management of Microsoft Teams, including team creation and policy configuration.
Identity and Access Management:
Design, implement, and manage identity and access solutions using Microsoft Entra ID and Okta
Configure and manage user identities, authentication, and authorization across applications and resources.
Implement and manage identity governance, including policies for data loss prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, and retention.
System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like the Microsoft 365 admin center and PowerShell scripts.
Ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction by addressing connectivity and service issues.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Plan and execute migrations, updates, and integrations with other systems.
Collaboration and Support:
Provide seamless experiences and self-service management capabilities for users.
Collaborate with other IT roles to drive strategic identity projects and modernize identity solutions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience supervising small to medium skilled IT teams.
Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Administrator with IdAM experience (i.e., Okta), including administration of all M365 App suite.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), and Microsoft 365 services.
Agile / DevOps (including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery)
Experience with Diverse Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux, RHEL, etc.) as well as serverless solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: M365 Admin or M356 Apps (i.e., SharePoint, Teams)
2-3 years Okta experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
