At the forefront of Emirates Engineering, the Line Maintenance section plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our aircraft. This dynamic area manages both Line Maintenance and Aircraft Cabin Maintenance (ACM), working continuously with essential operational teams such as Flight Operations and Network Control. Our mission is to deliver efficient and reliable services that meet the demands of a busy commercial flight schedule.
As a Manager Cabin Appearance Maintenance, IFE and Cabin Systems, you will organise, manage and direct all activities of Aircraft Cabin Maintenance (ACM) to achieve and maintain a pristine cabin / serviceability of in-flight entertainment (IFE) and cabin systems for all EK fleet. You will be responsible for the delivery of aircraft cabin systems and eliminating blocked seats, IFE malfunctions, cabin dispatch sensitive activities and dark flights.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor and analyze Technical Cabin log entries to manage defects, reduce schedule interruptions, and minimize spare usage. Conduct daily cabin audits to uphold standards.
- Develop IT/AI systems for defect identification and control in line with fleet expansion. Provide real-time defect information to staff to minimize passenger complaints and operational disruptions.
- Coordinate with EK Engineering Senior Management and stakeholders for timely defect resolution and risk mitigation regarding spare availability. Review safety reports and incidents, reporting significant issues with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in daily Engineering Operation meetings to review recent activities and implement action plans. Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service quality and ensure passenger-sensitive items are serviceable from DXB.
- Lead a team of Engineers, Technicians, and Mechanics, fostering morale, discipline, and training while ensuring technical competence. Plan for future resource needs aligned with airline growth, driving productivity improvements and budget adherence.
- Plan and coordinate the activities of Engineers, Technicians, and Mechanics to ensure timely and effective handling of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, logbook entries, and deferred defects, enhancing the serviceability, appearance, and hygiene of the EK fleet.
