Were looking for outstanding scientists and engineers who combine superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability architect complex hardware, software, embedded, mobile and mission-critical systems to ensure they can be found compliant to DO-178C. Key job responsibilities
The manager of the High Fidelity Modeling group will lead a group of engineers and scientists that provide computational fluid dynamics modeling, as well as aerodynamic and other surrogate models used in flight simulation of the Prime Air drones.
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years experience in CFD or flight simulation database generation and validation
- BSc/MSc in aerospace eng., mechanical eng., computer science, or equivalent
- Demonstrated success in communicating with technical teams to collect requirements, describe product features and technical designs and driving implementation across multiple teams
- Firm understanding of software design principles- 10+ years experience in CFD or flight simulation database generation and validation
- PhD in aerospace eng., mechanical eng., computer science, or equivalent
- Experience with machine learning and gaussian process regression techniques

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic spanets. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,600/year in our lowest geographic spanet up to $272,400/year in our highest geographic spanet. Pay is based on a number of factors including spanet location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
