Job Profile The Manager Maintenance Programs in Columbus, OH is critical to the management team supporting a fleet of business jet aircraft. The Manager Maintenance Programs is responsible to deliver, maintain, customize, and optimize aircraft, engine, auxiliary power unit and component maintenance programs (collectively “Maintenance Programs”). The Manager provides support and solutions to teams managing aircraft maintenance, planning and airworthiness. The Manager plays a crucial support role with respect to aircraft reliability and various technical review boards.
Responsibilities:
The Manager of Maintenance Programs will serve on the Technical Services Team as a fleet level leader for Aircraft Maintenance Programs and shall have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a highly productive Maintenance Program team.
- Maintain aircraft maintenance programs compliance to the latest manufactures revisions.
- Ensure the timely review and incorporation of maintenance program amendments generated by manufacturers and resulting from the impact of incorporated modifications, airworthiness directives, supplemental Type certificate, supplemental type approvals, service bulletins and engineering orders.
- Optimize cabin completion, modification, supplemental type approval and supplemental type certificate ICA intervals for commonality across each fleet.
- Ensure all STC’s or Canadian STA’s ICA includes Minimum Equipment List (MEL) actions that are filed with the FAA Master MEL Steering Committee.
- Work closely with Reliability Team to optimize maintenance programs based on field experience, inputs from manufacturers and suppliers as well as other operators of these aircraft and/or engine and/or auxiliary power unit types.
- Collaborate with Planning Team to support the integration of new Maintenance Program revisions and support development of tailored bridging programs if/when required when Maintenance Program revisions are released.
- Collaborated with Quality Assurance to obtain approval of Maintenance Programs and revisions within the framework of the certifying government agencies, mainly FAA, TCCA and EASA.
- Collaborate with VistaJet Engineering Team to further optimize Maintenance Programs.
- Collaborate with internal, external stakeholders and manufactures to create a strong maintenance program network for developing program improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop Maintenance Program improvements and efficiencies.
- Develop standard operating procedures and controls for Maintenance Programs.
- Create and presents the fleet Maintenance Program status and amendments to senior leaders.
- Coach and mentor maintenance program analysts and supporting team members.
- Actively participate in technical and fleet review boards as required.
- Be proficient with Maintenance Steering Group (MSG) philosophies, program rules and escalations/de-escalations process.

- Aircraft Maintenance Program development ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient aircraft in the FAA Part 135 and 121 environments.
- Manufactures service bulletins and airworthiness directives.
- Maintenance Program requirements as set forth in FAA Advisory Circular 120-16G.Possess a fundamental understanding of aircraft maintenance operations and relationship with maintenance programs.
- Demonstrates experience and skill in using aircraft maintenance and engineering tracking systems.
- Capable of efficiently using the Microsoft Office 365 suite of software tools, customized electronic aircraft maintenance tracking software (CAMP), and other software solution to support historical records and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree aircraft engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of leading maintenance programs or maintenance program development.
- 2+ years of selecting and developing maintenance program teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in aircraft engineering, aerospace engineering or aviation maintenance management.
- 5+ years of leading business jet maintenance programs teams.
- Experience working on an MSG committee as a Working Group or Steering Committee Member.
