POSITION PURPOSE:
The Manager of Maintenance Administration reports to the VP/DOM and is responsible for leading and overseeing the operational maintenance processes, operations and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Recruit mechanics and maintenance support personnel to provide proper staffing levels.
- Liaison with Human Resources and Compliance Programs.
- Promotes safety throughout the organization as mandated through Company policies identified by executive management.
- Comply with duties and responsibilities as outlined in the SMM including task analysis, risk analysis, risk assessments and risk control mitigation.
- Responsible for the daily administration of the designated programs outlined in the GMM.
- Demonstrates on a daily basis a commitment to the continuous improvement of safety throughout the organization.
- Daily MAC II and ADP timecard monitoring and correction. Ensure timely approval in accordance with company policy.
- Monitors maintenance performance against Company policies, procedures, and standards, and provides recommendations to the VP/DOM to improve the safety of operations, performance of equipment, conservation of energy, and enhancing performance and productivity of the entire operation.
- Develops and initiates revisions to maintenance related Company manuals.
- Determines manpower and equipment requirements for the areas of responsibility.
- Initiates requests to the Manager Maintenance Training for initial/recurrent training of maintenance personnel when required.
- Provide research assistance and auditing services for specified internal departments.
- Coordinate station moves and aircraft relocations. Ensure that the line stations have adequate facilities, tooling, and equipment available for maintaining Company aircraft.
- Reviews and approves invoices as needed.
- Assist with personnel training. This will be accomplished by calling/getting individuals to ensure they understand what to do and are able to accomplish it.
- Review open work orders for correct coding and time accounting daily.
- Prepare reports for the customer and other department managers as requested.
- Manage and monitor ground support equipment, and facilities. Ensure repairs are scheduled and completed once approved.
- Monitors Company Cars / Permits / Tags / Uniforms.
- Assist with company badges, security and station access/set up.
- Provide budgetary information to the VP/DOM as requested.
- Review planned aircraft work scopes for content. Ensure that parts are provided through purchasing to the aircraft technician and stations as required.
- Order office supplies for stations as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the VP/DOM.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor•s degree in a related field is preferred.
- At least 10 years maintenance experience in aircraft operations to include a minimum of 3 years in maintenance management.
- At least 5 years of budgetary experience overseeing assets, personnel, equipment, and facilities preferred.
- Must have a strong knowledge of FAA regulations, and possesses strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work nights and weekends and have a flexible travel schedule.
- Must have open minded flexibility and excellent communication skills.
- Must have industry awareness and have a compatible personality along with strong lateral leadership >
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Administration in support of the VP/DOM.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work typically performed in a line, hangar and office environment which will involve exposure to noise, chemicals, adverse temperatures, and other similar hazards. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
