Position Summary
Reports to the Director, Crew Scheduling. The Operation Managers of Crew Scheduling are responsible for executing on the operations strategy at Hawaiian Airlines. As a team leader of a 24/7 operation, the Manager leads and establishes priorities for Crew Schedulers in their day to day duties to ensure compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), our crewmember collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and company policies. The individual selected for this limited term offer will be heavily focused on creating a combined crew scheduling manual with Alaska Airlines Crew Scheduling as part of the single operating certificate (SOC) initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Expert on Crew Scheduling procedures based on the Federal Aviation Regulations and contractual applications.
- Leads and establishes duties for Crew Schedulers.
- Direct team on strategy for crew scheduling, focused on executing the airlines daily operation.
- Monitor and guide the team with planning for weekly and monthly scheduling needs and operational factors including but not limited to, irregular operations, emergency response and service recovery.
- Liaison with the Director of Crew Scheduling and the Manager of Compliance and Training to develop the strategy for executing procedures to adhere to contractual requirements.
- As the Scheduling subject matter expert, coordinate within Systems Operations Control Center (SOCC) and other SOCC employees in regards to contractual interpretation, staffing challenges and Crew Scheduling impacts.
- Works with SOCC, Inflight, Flight and Airport Operations teams to discuss delays and methods for mitigation from a crew perspective.
- Partners with the Director of Crew Scheduling and the Manager of Compliance and Training to form the crew scheduling committee which works collaboratively with the scheduling committees of the unions, to resolve crewmember issues and concerns.
- Support the Crew Scheduler team through effective performance management and ongoing feedback.
- Manage Crew Scheduler accountability and performance across the team, aligned with time management.
- Assist the Manager of Compliance and Training with responding to crewmember scheduling inquiries.
- Insure compliance with all Corporate procedures and policies

Minimum Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- Two years experience working with labor contracts and federal aviation requirements.
- At least one year experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Must be able to lead group discussions and training exercises
- Must be able to work well across multiple organizations to obtain support and compliance

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidates experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $73,700 - $96,600.
