How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Manager, Digital Catering Solutions will be responsible for leading a team in building a new, industry leading, end-to-end catering system for Delta’s Onboard Service (OBS) team. The manager will combine business acumen, technical skills, Agile product development experience, and intellectual curiosity to drive the vision and development of an industry leading food and beverage experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for the end-to-end product vision and create a scalable product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead (coach, develop, and mentor) the Digital Catering Solutions team, providing direction to ensure high-quality work and timely project delivery.
  • Deliver and inspire award-winning work from their team, influencing change through ideas and creativity.
  • Work across In Flight, Commercial, and IT to define a development plan, prioritize work, and support execution of our catering transformation
  • Ensure development requests are well understood, and deliverables meet business needs, all while balancing long-term flexibility and speed to spanet
  • Work closely with our IT team and catering partners to ensure delivery of consistent and cohesive digital experiences.
  • Dive into technical details with engineering and data teams to drive the technical solution
  • Advocate for best Agile practices and principles within the organization, educating and influencing stakeholders.
  • Help source vendors and manage those relationship, as needed, to support business goals.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Must be able to work and live in Canada at the time of your application.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in a technical or business discipline
  • 2-5+ years of relevant experience to include time in Network, Sales, Revenue Management, Alliances or other related functions

  • Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication including demonstrated ability to produce compelling, action-oriented business cases and/or analysis for senior audiences

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across different cultures; high level of diplomacy demonstration in former roles; experience operating in a cross-cultural environment

  • Strong financial and analytical skills and airline industry knowledge

  • Ability to build consensus opinions in a team environment and among stakeholders internally and externally to effectively bring about change and results

  • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED/CAEC, or high school equivalency.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree. Preferred major in Technology, Business, Management Information Systems.
  • Experience working with and developing relationships across both business and IT organizations desired.
