Purpose: As an FP&A Manager at Avelo Airlines, you’ll have the opportunity of guiding our finances through the always changing airline industry. We need someone who can think strategically, analyze numbers, and manage cross-functional teams
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
- Financial Forecasting & Modeling: Develop and maintain robust financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and cash flows.
- Budgeting: Help lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze financial variances and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with departments to support strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide financial insights and recommendations for special projects and business cases.
- Industry Trends: Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the airline industry, and weaving this knowledge into financial analysis and planning.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the airline industry, or a related field
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets and develop complex financial models. Must also have a solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team Player: Strong ability to collaborate across functions and embrace Avelo’s commitment to One Crew
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to influence and build consensus around recommendations
