What are your contributions to the team?

 

  • Define and adapt the set of planning, organization, direction and control activities to support the Strategic Operating Plan, approve the project schedule and assign team members and resources that contribute to the definition and implementation of work processes to achieve the organizations objectives.
  • Make decisions and recommendations that will impact the budget and direction of the department.
  • Be responsible for the development and results of teams of professionals.
  • Develop the departments plan in accordance with the vision and strategy of the area.
  • Define operating standards and ensure that procedures are followed according to schedule (medium term).
  • Ensure work development and performance indicators.
  • Lead the performance and development of your employees (Recruitment, performance evaluations or PMPs, alignment and separation).
  • Provide guidance and influence colleagues and customers on strategic initiatives of impact in their control area or production unit for the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Enable the team to maintain technical knowledge, and identify applications of existing knowledge and methodologies of functions to ensure resolution of complex problems.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures (which ones, for which processes, etc.).
  • Make decisions in ill-defined situations.
  • Manage the budget, being able to understand reports and take action to adhere to the amount allocated to maximize resources in search of the correct profitability of the company.
  • Others specifically related to the area.
  • Ensure compliance with HR cycle processes.
  • Support the execution of the employee life cycle.
  • Ensuring compliance with union agreements with the Labor Relations area.
  • Advise and enable leaders and employees on HR policies, processes and procedures.

 

How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:

 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, labor relations or equivalent.
  • You have between ten (10) and fifteen (15) years of experience in human resources including a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role (would be considered an asset).
  • You have experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • You are recognized as an inspirational and inclusive leader, agile and action oriented.
  • You possess a proven track record of developing and influencing best practices and implementation of those practices across business segments.
  • You are self-motivated, resourceful, collaborative and open to direction.
  • You have the ability to proactively solve problems and think strategically.
  • You are autonomous and rigorous, you know how to manage competing priorities and you thrive under pressure.
  • You have demonstrated project management skills and the ability to be both strategic and tactical in rolling out HR initiatives that are aligned with overall organizational goals.
  • You are highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills for communicating with all levels of the organization.
  • You possess an excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Spanish and in English (bilingual).
  • You have strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
