Job Summary
Directs and coordinates activities of production Oversees and ensures quality and safety of the aircraft build and personnel. Responsible for the health of the direct labor force including training, retention, hiring and supporting their needs. Executes the production design as set by Cirrus Process Engineering. Provides metrics and visibility into operations.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm; work beyond this schedule may be required.

Compensation: $56,841 - $85,261 DOE. Full benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Responsible for delivering clear and concise communication in a timely manner. Communicates company vision and organizational goals and objectives
  • Ensures all safety standards/ policies are met. Conducts regular observations for safety compliance and corrects unsafe acts and conditions. Provide a safe work environment for employees and ensures all safety standards/ policies are met
  • Responsible for employee training and qualifications. Assigns trainers, monitors employees progress and makes changes to station skill requirements as needed
  • Executes production design as provided by Cirrus Process Engineering. Communicates back regarding area performance to targets. Works with Process Engineers to correct and continually improve line design
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and to prevent operational delays
  • Sets a standard of teamwork in assigned area; coaches and guides employees, set plans for improvement, increase production, overcome obstacles, and achieve on time delivery with zero defects to internal customers
  • Responsible for hiring and conducting performance reviews
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance is met with standards
  • Continually strives for process improvement, cost reduction, and labor hour reduction in assigned area
  • Works to reduce scrap and NCRs (Non Conformance Reports) and works to stay within the guidelines for overtime while monitoring absenteeism
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing Principles and practices Lean Principles throughout department as it will be required to lead lean Projects. Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Applies the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions that govern job duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to achieve success
  • Deliver clear and concise communication to cross functional team

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Cirrus Designs manufacturing processes preferred.
