THE WORK
As a key leader in our team, you will provide oversight to a group of hourly employees, ensuring that all products are completed to the highest standards and delivered on time. Your responsibilities will include:
- **Team Productivity & Safety:** Leading your team to achieve high productivity levels while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and cost requirements.
- **Shift Transition Management:** Ensuring smooth transitions between shifts to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- **Timekeeping & Labor Auditing:** Managing and approving employee timekeeping in SAP, conducting labor audits, and ensuring compliance with Sikorskys labor reporting and time and attendance procedures.
- **Performance Management:** Driving accountability by managing employee performance through reviews, coaching, training, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions.
- **Compliance & Standards Enforcement:** Ensuring adherence to work methods, safety rules, and quality standards, and conducting regular checks to maintain these standards.
- **Safety & Housekeeping:** Upholding Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) regulations, performing necessary equipment upkeep, and promoting good housekeeping practices.
- **Issue Resolution:** Investigating discrepancies and coordinating with Operations, Quality, and Engineering Management to resolve issues promptly.
- **Budget & Policy Management:** Managing both direct and indirect budgets while consistently applying and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- **Customer Interaction:** Effectively interfacing with a variety of internal and external customers to ensure that Sikorskys commitments are met.

Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience, particularly in managing hourly employees in a high-paced environment.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Proficiency in using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for timekeeping, labor management, and production tracking.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation to ensure product conformance.
- **Leadership & Communication:**
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, provide constructive feedback, and enforce policies and procedures consistently.
- **Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:**
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment, balancing safety, quality, and productivity.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
