JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Support Manager will direct the day to day operations of the Manufacturing Support team to ensure production and process compliance. The Manufacturing Support Manager is the single point of contact for internal and external customers and is the coordination point for all commercial / delivery items.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Stakeholder Management
The Manufacturing Support Manager, in conjunction with the Composite Manufacturing Manager, will coordinate the activities of Manufacturing Support to: bring projects, changes and continuous improvement to completion on schedule, on budget and on quality. In doing so, The Manufacturing Support Manager will ensure:
to provide technical leadership and support for production activities
the completion of assigned tasks (NCM, CARs, MCRs)
compliance with specifications, processes & procedures
preparation & updating of core documentation (MIDs, SOPs, Drawings, BOMs, Routings))
activities are best coordinated to meet company KPIs / TCOs
The Manufacturing Support Manager will work with various stakeholders, internally and externally, to bring projects, changes and continuous improvements to completion on schedule, on budget and on quality. In doing so, the Manufacturing Support Manager will ensure that all project team members:

Customer Management
The single point or focal point of contact to the customer
Focus on customer experience by:
listening to the customer
understanding the customer
educating the customer
informing the customer
managing difficult and controversial situations with finesse
ensuring customer satisfaction
Develop project schedules complete with predecessors, successors, planned and actual start- and finish dates, critical path analysis
Track project schedules on a weekly basis and update with actual start/finish dates
Make schedule adjustments based on changing project requirements
Keep project team, customer and leadership informed on changing project milestones
Track Schedule Performance Indicator (SPI)
Full ownership of project, changes, etc. from early in the process all the way through completion
Real-time and accurate tracking of contractual changes, i.e. change order management reflected in schedule and budget adjustments
Interpretation of contractual requirements, and, as needed, feedback solicitation with internal counsel
Offers Contribution
Receive and clarity inquiries regarding new business, requests for quotations (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), requests for information (RFI), changes requests (ECPs) and other activities in the
Coordinate the development, completion, approval and response of received RFQs, RFPs, RFIs and change requests.
Communicate the offer status internally, if awarded the details of award (ATP) and if not awarded the feedback from the customer (lessons learnt).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Post secondary degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or Operations Management
PMP certification considered an asset
Experience:
5 years&39; experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred
Experience in working in a project management role
Previous aerospace experience considered an asset
Experience responding to RFPs considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and well established network within the manufacturing community
Composite manufacturing experience considered an asset
Read & interpret technical drawings, standards & specifications, GD&T
Knowledge of CAD data & design, 3D printing, 3D scanning & CMM
Strong attention to detail
Strong leadership skills & ability to coach/mentor/inspire staff
Ability to meet goals and targets independently and without day-to-day active management
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to set priorities and undertake initiative to time sensitive demands & deadlines
Customer focused & Business oriented mindset and approach
Effective collaboration agility
