Job Summary
Material Program Manager (MPM) needed for Raytheon Missiles & Defense, Naval Power, Close in Weapon System production team. In this role, you will participate in the execution/approach of achieving operational results. The MPM will report to the CIWS Supply Chain Production Lead. The Production MPM requires practical knowledge in navigating the execution of processes, projects, and tactics and understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
In this role you will further develop your knowledge of manufacturing, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will execute a material program strategy/plan for a program or integrated product team. As a member of a product team in a matrixed environment, you will frequently need to communicate within and outside your function, internal/external suppliers, and internal/external customers. Accordingly, it requires your ability to influence others outside of your immediate work area to explain and gain alignment on plans, policies, practices, and procedures. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate basic/applied knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process, project management, and financial management. Key activities typically include proposals, financial management; participation of the supplier management process, and communication of customer flow-through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, quality, warranty, etc.
What You Will Do:
Support the generation and execution of the Supply Chain Program Strategy and Plan
Support planning, execution, and reporting of material and labor budgets, earned value management, estimate at completion reporting, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments
Plan and manage a dynamic material and services delivery forecast
Support leadership reviews, including Gate Reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Program Reviews, and Customer Reviews
Lead supplier assessments, sourcing strategies, and leading proposal development activities
Improving supplier performance by utilizing key metrics and establishing an executable Supplier Engagement Plan to actively manage risk within the supply base
Driving a culture of identifying true root cause and implementing corrective actions to prevent future escapes and continuously improve overall supplied part quality
Material Program Management (MPM) Certification required within one (1) year in the role
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Experience utilizing manufacturing or enterprise planning tools such as SAP and/or PRISM
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Masters’ Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical field
Active Secret security clearance
Experience working in the Aerospace or Defense Industry
Experience developing teaming and partnering relationships in both domestic and international settings
Proficient in the Microsoft Office tool suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project)
Possess strong analytical, communication, team skills, and prioritization skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed, cross-function team members

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
