What You Will Do

Columbus Forge Disks is looking for a Materials Supervisor (M2) to support the module center as part of the Nickel Powder Value Stream.  The Materials Supervisor manage the production control team and ensure the shop has material support.  The Materials Supervisor will also provide feedback to the Delivery Assurance team as it relates to manufacturing inhibitors affecting customer delivery.

The Materials Supervisor maintains material organization on the shop floor and executes strategies that are directly related to the physical creation of products and the functional operation of the facilities.

  • Reports to the Senior Materials Manager, will interact and collaborate with the Quality, Supply Chain Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Engineering, on a regular and frequent basis. The individual must embrace CORE, which is Pratt & Whitney’s Operating System; additionally, champion lean manufacturing and excel in a team environment with high-performance expectations.

  • Manage production control team for the site inclusive of material handlers.

  • Understand forecast / planned Customer demand, forecast / planned production supply, material available-to-promise analysis

  • Vendor alignment based on production plan

  • Reports out on Tier 4 meeting for FX and Delivery inclusive of recovery plans.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in an Engineering, Manufacturing, Program/Project Management, Operations or Materials Management or Quality environment; OR Associates degree and 4+ of relevant industry experience; OR High School or Tech School diploma and 6+ relevant industry experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings

  • Specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (CORE); Value Stream Mapping, 6S - Workplace Organization, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance and Mistake Proofing

  • Experience working with Solumina MES, Teamcenter, SAP ERP, and MS Office Suite.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including senior level management.

What is my Role Type?

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
