This position is scheduled on 1st shift 4X10B (Tuesday - Friday; Off Sat/Sun/Mon). However, the selected candidate may be assigned a different schedule based on business needs. The quality associate manager is expected to participate in weekend coverage as part of a rotation schedule.
The quality associate manager will report to the Fabrication Quality manager. The Fabrication Quality team supports fabrication of various components across F-16, F-22, and F-35 platforms. Additionally, Fabrication Quality has responsibility for shipping and receiving inspections, tooling inspections, and non-destructive inspections. The quality associate manager is expected to develop effective cross-functional relationships with DCMA, Fabrication, NDT/NDI Level 3 Engineering, F-35 Production Operations, and Warehouse personnel. The quality associate manager will have responsibility for Fabrication Qualitys operational strategy development and execution across Fabrication departments. The quality associate manager will leverage quality performance data to monitor product quality and increase yield.
The positions direct staff includes quality supervisors and quality analysts. The reporting chain includes four different inspector labor grades (tooling, detail, non-destructive, and electrical). The quality associate manager is expected to develop their teams soft and hard skills to enable higher levels of performance and overall strategy execution. The selected candidate will be responsible for employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary, and recognition/discipline actions.

Basic Qualifications:
*Appropriate degree from an accredited college, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
*Experience in quality and/or manufacturing.
*Formal or informal leadership experience.
Desired Skills:
*Bachelors degree or above in a business- or engineering-related discipline.
*Industry certification (i.e. CQE, CMQ/OE, Six Sigma, A&P, etc.)
*Formal leadership experience in a union environment.
*Knowledge of non-destructive test methods.
*Knowledge of light metrology.
*Formal experience in logistics and/or production control.
*Quality or manufacturing experience with composites, electrical components, machining, paint, and/or tube manufacturing processes.
*Completion of a leadership development program (QTLD, OLDP, ELDP, etc.)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
