Job Description SummaryThe NPI and Production Program Manager develops relationships with customers to understand their immediate needs, road maps and strategies, so we can create products or services they value. In this role, you will develop & maintains business cases, manage programs, meet customer/business objectives. While being accountable for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Will also be responsible for revenue, margin, cash and performance with the customer.
Lead the cross functional team to deliver on all program(s) deliverables within the terms and conditions of the contract and business case. Impacts the teams ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Subject to Commercial policy objectives. Has independence in achieving commercial objectives within operating budgets and operating guidelines. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
You will work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Testing, and Quality engineers to ensure the production and delivery of high quality power generation products to our aviation customers. You truly will be part of the team that "Invents the future of Flight".
Onsite work is required daily at the Vandalia, OH facility.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead production programs from RFP through business case, proposal, fact find, negotiation, order receipt, order fulfillment, and cash receipt
- All contract performance related activities, tied to customer(s) or program(s)
- Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the customer advised of the progress of the program, and negotiate changes, variations, solutions to issues
- Requires specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups. Requires strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy for their broad sales territory, including control of resources
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers
- Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision
- Forecast production demand and coordinate with supply chain to align supply to fulfill customer requirements
- Responsible for financial performance for your production & development programs
- Manage development programs from the concept stage through introduction into production
- Interface with internal and external customers to develop product / systems strategies to align with road map / vision
- Determine the need for development of new or modified products and services and manage their development
- Coordinate functional support activities to customer requirements and satisfy business goals
- Maintain communication and technical coordination with external customers
- Lead overall proposal approaches and manage proposal activities
- Develop cost and schedule planning estimates in support of internal and external customer
- Coordinate and integrate technology needs with other interfacing organizations
- Provide product and technology planning support to assure alignment to business strategies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, an Engineering role, or Military Service
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.
