POSITION PURPOSE
Manages all Operations Security programs in accordance with Republic Airways’ goals and objectives. Ensures regulatory compliance. Serves as Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC) or alternate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Serves as Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC) or alternate.
- Manages the Company’s Security Management System to include data entry and analysis.
- Ensures regulatory compliance, including Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations (49 CFR), Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP), Private Charter Standard Security Program (PCSSP), Transport Canada Security Program, applicable U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, foreign host government security programs, and any new or changing regulations
- Receives, investigates and responds to Transportation Security Administration and Customs allegations of regulatory non-compliance. Represents Republic Airways at informal conferences and/or formal hearings and negotiates and requests final settlement to close open cases.
- Provides operational coordination of security related incidents to include notification to governmental agencies.
- Corresponds, interfaces, communicates, and maintains effective working relationships with various internal customers, and external agencies including but not limited to TSA, Federal Aviation Administration, CBP, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Department of Transportation, Department of Defense (DoD), Federal, State, and local law enforcement.
- Participates in Regional Airline Association Security Council and partner security oversight committees.
- Acts as liaison between Republic Airways Inc. and the TSA, FBI, foreign host government agencies, etc. regarding issues of aviation security and emergencies.
- Conducts reviews of security information in applicable training programs, as required by the Security Program.
- Completes audits required by the Security Program.
- Serves as an Aviation Employee Vetting Manager and is responsible for the company’s compliance.
- Responsible for security portions of the International Air Transport Association Operational Safety (IOSA) Audit, DoD, corporate TSA audits, and foreign host government audits.
- Must be available for on-call 24/7 assignment to respond promptly to any security incidents.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s degree in an aviation related field or equivalent.
- Requires 3 years of aviation experience in management and/or regulatory compliance.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Prefer at least 5 years of experience, including some training experience.

Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
