Avio Aero is looking for a talented Deputy Module Integration Leader or Project Engineer, expected to coordinate and lead the TP400 Power GearBox activities within the Services Engineering organization, reporting to the Module Integration Leader.
The position requires accountability, excellent communication skills and cross functional leadership to support of Production and Fleet operations. He / She will conduct the activities in interface with External Customers and Authorities (EASA), Avio Aero Design, Maintenance and Production Organizations, as well as Project Management Office.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Coordination of cross-functional teams within the Design Organization (Design, Repair and Development, Material and Processes, Life Management, Failure Analysis, Product Support Engineers, Subcontractors) to execute post certification Engineering milestones;
Support the application of the Safety Management Process, leading to resolution potential unsafe condition to keep the product Airworthy;
Lead the preparation of the Design Reviews;
Implementing the Change in Design process to standardization of Post-Certification modifications;
Interface with External customers and Certification Authorities (EASA);
Interface with other Functions within Avio Aero (Legal, Maintenance Organization, Production Organization, Project Management Office);
Report to Internal Leadership on execution of engineering and program milestones;
Overview of Work Packages Cost Performance Index and On Time Delivery Index.
Qualifications/Requirements
Experience in the Mechanical Industry applied to Design, Integration, Production and / or Maintenance of complex systems;
Proven responsibility in leading engineering activities;
Experience in different phases of the product Lifecycle would be an asset (design, fabrication, test, certification, investigations, repair and/or production support);
Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering Master of Science from an accredited university or college;
Able to apply sound design principles and to lead the preparation of technical reviews;
Proven experience in writing technical documents and reports
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills; willingness and can-do attitude to directly interact with several internal and external customers;
Prioritize work, and communicate openly in stressful situations;
Proficiency in written and spoken English;
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required;
Travel availability.
Desired Characteristics
Experience in the Aeronautical Industry, specifically on Aero-Engines components / modules;
Previous experience with PART21 and PART145 regulations;
Previous experience with Certification Specifications for Engines (CS-E) and applicable Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC);
Previous experience in conducting field investigations with TOPS8D methodology;
Fluent in written and Italian language.
