About us:
The Procurement Contract team is a transversal team spread throughout Europe, responsible for working alongside the Commodity and Project Supply Management teams in the Space Systems and Connected Intelligence Business Lines, providing contractual expertise and support with the identified Key subcontractors and Suppliers, in the negotiation and post signature of procurement agreements through back office support or direct procurement.
We manage the definition and ensure the implementation of the procurement contractual policy and associated procurement contractual terms and conditions, taking into account the inputs/outputs provided by the relevant commodity management, as well as by legal, Finance, Insurance and Export departments and applicable regulations.
What you will be doing:
During this internship, the activities you may undertake will be varied and will require you to use many different skills (commercial and contractual, communication writing skills, etc.), this may include:
Good understanding of the company and procurement policies, contractual templates, and where we fit into the procurement end to end process;
Work with the internal stakeholders to understand the procurement strategy for the bids, and the technical and contractual requirements, as well as taking into account also the requirements of the Customer;
Provide the correct contractual templates relative to the work adapted to fit the need;
Analysis of supplier proposals identifying any risks and assumptions, and proposed contractual terms advising internal stakeholders on contractual implications, ( e.g Confidentiality, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Liability aspects);
Support the negotiations and implementation of any procurement contracts and help to resolve any issues post contract supporting Through Life Support;
Contribute and develop new procurement contract awareness material, and coach internal stakeholders in the areas of contractual governance and policies, contract templates and negotiation skills.

Requirements:

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
Studying towards a degree in a Legal Contract Law/Business Law;
The ability to listen, understand and communicate information effectively and efficiently;
Desire to work in an open and trusting environment, both independently as well as within a larger team;
Pro-active attitude and positive engagement towards learning in a contractual and business environment with a strong interest in developing yourself;
Interest in finding, developing and implementing creative solutions to complex problems;
Professional attitude that will be reflected towards external suppliers and internal stakeholders;
Language skills: English advanced. French, German – not mandatory but welcome.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
