As Procurement Manager you will lead the contract administrator team assigned to the subject commodity and you will drive delivery excellence and supplier performances collaborating with the commodity team. In this role you will report to the Sourcing Procurement Leader and you will be responsible for delivery performance of the critical suppliers.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Resolve delivery issues for customer impact and critical materials ensuring proper escalation process internally and with Suppliers
Facilitate engagement of Engineering and Supplier Quality for technical issue resolution
On site visit at suppliers when necessary
Perform periodical review and analysis in order to reduce Suppliers delinquency level and improve On Time Delivery
Attend CMR / DD meetings and business meetings with Customer, Plants and Financial QMI
Cooperate with Material planning team to ensure proper scheduling to the Suppliers and support Input material control and Inventory management. Ensure periodical Supplier Order book review
Support the Portal usage from Suppliers and further digital tools
Thorough KPI analysis, drives actions and strategy for improvement and stabilization, including proper reporting
Collaborate with Finance, Plants, and Buyers to solve Payment issues
Drive Customer Impact review with the Plants, ensuring, for critical material, recovery plan creation and management
Escalate to Procurement Leader and Commodity Leaders severe deliveries delay and any commercial matter impacting supplier output
Collaborate with the Commodity to define the improvement strategy for the critical suppliers
Ensure full collaboration with the Buyers and Contract Administrators to facilitate issues resolution ( as applicable)
Drive the new Procurement process implementation collaborating with plants and improving the escalation process thru Sourcing and Suppliers
Qualifications/Requirements
Master degree in technical subject from an accredited University or Bachelor degree with compensating work experience in the subject matter
Proven experience in suppliers management (i.e. material planning, sourcing specialist, supplier development, supplier quality …)
Proactiveness and positive attitude. Able to create effective partnership across the business
Ability to coordinate people and several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills, RCCA, 5 whys, tops 8D
Proven analytical and organizational ability. Lean six sigma
Attitude to work in a matrix organization
Proven influencing skills and executive exposure
Fluent in Italian and English
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Availability to travel nationally and internationally, once/twice per quarter
Desired Characteristics
SAP MM Module certificate is preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attitude to work in a cross-functional teamwork environment
Previous experience in materials planning with foreign Suppliers
PC proficiency
Previous experience in Aviation industry
