Position Summary

This position is responsible for Plan, direct, and monitor all production activities and KPI within an assigned area or unit to maximize the use of the organizations resources and meet established production specifications and schedules, volume, cost, and wastage targets, safety, and quality standards. Develop and implement manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity. Analyze production, maintenance, and malfunction records to identify problems and recommend solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow, or equipment) that will improve performance. Liaise with functional or operational area managers (for example in supply and logistics, or sales) to understand their current and future product needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities. Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of supervisors who are responsible for various production activities such as material preparation, charging, machine operation, or packaging. Lead Kaizen and lean activities with strong ownership in multifunctional team.

Responsibilities

Whole Kofu plant production.Collaboration work in LORD Japan. Report to the Kofu plant managerGlobal functional collaboration.Negotiate & arrange the companys internal problems & conflicts as the Kofu production representative.

  • Create & manage the production organization optimizing the resources, not only current but also future organization plan.
  • Direct all employees in the production.
  • Approve & manage all organizations in individual divisions who report to the production manager.
  • Appraise & approve all direct reports.
  • Plan & manage the education & training on whole production employees.
  • Kofu plant production has Chemlok and SA&C groups.
  • Manage, lead & maintain the atmosphere and culture to maximize the organization performance.
  • Maintain, improve & revise the management system such as ISO9001 and so on.

Policy & Strategy ( Vision & Mission)Decide & show Kofu production policy & strategy following to upper one such as the plants, regionals & companys one.The policy & strategy include long & short-term aspect.Approve & manage all policies & strategies in individual divisions who report to the production manager. 

Target ( AOP)Create, manage & monitor the annual target following to upper one.Approve & manage all target (AOP) in individual divisions who report to the production manager. 

Finance & BudgetManage all production budget & money spending with short, yearly & long term to maximize the companys profit. 

EHSManage & control all safety related events in the production working with the EHS. 

ComplianceManage & control all compliance related events in the production working with EHS, HR & ADM. 

SecurityManage & control the production security such as employees, assets, data, documents, records and IP. 

QualityManage & control all QA/QC related events in the production working with QA/QC. 

EfficiencyLead & manage the improvement of efficiency & operations.Lead & manage the cost saving.Keep & manage stable operation with proper capacity. 

Supply ChainMake sure the stable supply chain with the purchasing. 

LogisticsManage & control all logistics related events in the production working with the logistics division. 

Assets & facilityMaintain & manage the production facilities & assets with preventive action with the maintenance division.Decide & manage the long-term facility maintain & upgrade plan with the maintenance division. 

TechnologyFollow & implement the most proper technology in LORD with the process engineering division.Manage & support the NPC process (Incl. LPD) as mass production function. 

CustomersFocus on the not only external customers but also internal customers too to improve customers satisfaction.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

EXPERIENCE10 years or more in related experiences.
EducationBachelor of scientific faculties.
LeadershipStrong leadership, team facilitation, project management, problem solving and conflict management skills.
EncourageDemonstrate leadership and encourage people.
CommunicationFair and open communication. Communicate with other sites including overseas.
Mind setPositive, challenging, Fair, Open, passionate, logical, clear and calm.
LanguageStrong communication and written skills in English and Japanese and interactive capabilities.
QualityKnowledge of ISO 9000/ TS16949 and statistic.
ProductionLean manufacturing experience
EHSIn-depth knowledge of regulations and laws and government requirements for EHS
SpecialtyChemical and manufacturing process knowledge.
FinanceExperience of budget, expense & P/L management. ERP Skill.
ITMS office Skill.

Non-Mandatory Job Requirements:1.Master’s degree / PhD in scientific faculties is preferable.2.Professional certifications will be a plus.
