Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage front-line manufacturing employees in a safety-first culture
- Ensure operational alignment with production plan and communicates priorities, project status and metrics to their team
- Communicate clearly to stakeholders including plant leadership, support groups, and technicians on line status
- Influence key resources to eliminate obstacles
- Work on cross-functional projects / teams to improve metrics, safety, shop efficiency, and delivery for the business
- Analyze data to identify issues or areas for improvement
- Facilitate and motivate the hourly workforce by setting clear expectations on production output, EHS compliance, and quality workmanship of assigned job allocations
- Investigate and owns improvement efforts to address production constraints
- Develop new solutions under guidance and/ or in a team setting o Encourage an environment of continuous improvement and team member development
- Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practice
- Convey performance expectations to a team and may handle sensitive issues
- Collaborate with area technicians, on the shop floor, to grow and develop talent at our site
- Troubleshoot production systems like ERP and quality systems
- Utilize Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience to improve flow of parts, in pursuance of a pull system for Nozzles and Liners
- This is a 3rd shift (10:45pm - 7:00am) team lead position; therefore a night shift bonus will be included.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university/college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience
